Funerals, Celebrations of Life, Memorial Services
Choosing a professional officiant for your loved one’s celebration of life, funeral, or memorial service is an important decision that should not be taken lightly. My job as your funeral celebrant is to help portray the life of your loved one and create a service that is personal and meaningful.
It is a privilege to stand with families and assist them in honoring their loved ones after death. Recognizing both the life and death of someone who has died is an essential piece of the grieving process – it’s healing. It’s also a beautiful way to say goodbye while lovingly commemorating their life.
Rev. Kelly Robbins has a gift for crafting a personal ceremony tailored to the deceased’s and their family’s values. My skills as a good listener, an excellent writer, and a great speaker all play an essential role in celebrating the life of your loved one. As the funeral celebrant, my job is to set the tone for the service. Was your loved one a jokester who would love their goodbye to be a loving celebration? Or were they more conventional and preferred a traditional funeral?
In addition to creating and leading the memorial service, I am happy to assist in writing a meaningful eulogy, provide guidance on the obituary, and offer suggestions for music and readings.
My goal in officiating a memorial service is to help you celebrate the important moments of life in a way that reflects the uniqueness of the person we are to recognize. There is no right or wrong way to do this. Together, we customize the ceremony to honor the deceased and meet the family’s needs.
Honoring Life. Respecting Values. Caring for our loved ones.
Humans have engaged in ceremonies and rituals to help us through difficult times since the beginning of time. Like a wedding or a baptism, funerals allow us to recognize once-in-a-lifetime events and transitions in a healthy way. A funeral provides a space for family and friends to support each other and begin healing. A memorial or celebration of life is one way to start the ongoing grieving process.
A funeral or memorial service doesn’t have to be religious or spiritual to have meaning. A good funeral officiant creates a memorial service that suits your family’s needs. Just as each of us is unique, so should how we recognize the life of our loved ones.
Contact me today, and let’s set up a time to discuss the best way to say goodbye to your loved one.
Kelly, thank you for doing such an amazing job! I got so many compliments about the meaning of the service and I thought you did a beautiful job of balancing the two different individuals and their faiths. I appreciate everything that you did to help us bring it all together! ~~RG
